A deal with Kawasaki for a two year contract is currently awaiting a final stamp of approval from the bosses in Japan. Kawasaki wants to run a third bike next year, but aren’t sure who the third rider would be. John Hopkins will stay, Marco Melandri will join, but it’s still a question over Anthony West.
Official confirmation is expected at the next race in Misano.
